Hardly you hear the words “healthy” and “ice cream” in the same sentence until now, thanks to three brands of ice cream — Enlightened, Arctic Zero, and Halo Top — there is a way to eat the ice cream and stay fit. It’s called low-calorie ice cream.
3. Halo Top
Favorite Flavor Birthday Cake
This tastes better than actual birthday cake, and that’s saying something coming from a guy who loves a good ice cream cake on his birthday. My first expectation was lowered significantly. It shouldn’t taste as good as it does. Looking inside the pint, there’s a vanilla base with different colored sprinkles throughout, but then you take a bite, and those sprinkles jump at you with flavor. For the 364 days a year that is not your birthday, you can eat this and feel like it is, minus the disappointment when somebody buys you jean shorts as a present.
Arctic Zero’s pints all have whey protein concentrate as an ingredient. Unlike protein shakes, purified water is the first ingredient in all its pints, which makes it less creamy and icier than the other two brands I suggested. It’s also lactose-free. There’s a peanut butter cup pictured on the pint so you know it’s going to be tasty! The flavor was nice…not too strong or sweet. It was so rich I didn’t think there would be any way I could eat the whole thing. Well…I did! I felt like I had found the holy grail when I came across this ice cream, and after eating 2 pints of it in 2 days I realized there is one more I like better…..
Favorite Flavor Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Crunch
The caramel flavors are all on point. This pint, however, is the best thing since Christmas morning. One WHOLE PINT of Enlightened caramel oatmeal cookie crunch totals out to 400 calories consisting of the macros 28p/72c/12f in addition to 20g of fiber. Those caramel swirls are breathtakingly DELICIOUS and are the real highlights of this pint.
